Hi there!
So you’ve booked your Thailand train ticket through 12Go Asia!
What next?!
Well, you need to pick up the actual train ticket!
But that is quite easy to do, and you could even do it just before you catch your train.
The 12Go Asia office in Bangkok is right near the Bangkok train station (aka Hua Lamphong railway station).

In short…
How to pick up 12go Asia tickets in Bangkok:
- Take the MRT subway line to Hua Lamphong station
- Take subway station exit 1
- Once you get to the top, keep walking in the same direction
- In 10 seconds or so, there will be a 12Go Asia sign on the left (just before the intersection)
- Enter the building
- The 12Go Asia office will be right in front of you!

Now…
Here’s how to pick up your Thailand train ticket in Bangkok!

This is how it was for me in 2019. Your experience may vary!
Getting to Hua Lamphong MRT subway station
If this will be your first time taking the MRT subway, have no fear!
It is pretty simple.
You first need to get to the nearest MRT station. This might require taking the BTS skytrain.
Google Maps will be helpful in telling you the skytrain or subway you need to take.
For this trip to pick up your train tickets from the 12Go Asia office, select the Hua Lamphong station as your final destination.

So your actual route may vary with transfers, but taking the MRT will look something like this, if you have no transfers.
Once you get to an MRT station…

You’ll go to a ticket machine.

There’s an English button, and then you basically just follow the prompts.
You’ll select the Hua Lamphong station as your destination.
This touch screen isn’t the best, but if you have problems, eventually you’ll get it. π
Then once you’ve selected Hua Lamphong, pay the amount given in cash.

And then out comes a “token”!

Now you are ready to head for the ticket gate.

At the ticket gate, you will basically “swipe” your token to get through the ticket gate.
Which basically means placing your token on the given area.
And then you’ll keep the token until you’ve reached the Hua Lamphong station.

Then once you’re through the ticket gate, follow the sign to Hua Lamphong to get to the platform for the subway train.
Since it’s the last stop on this subway line, it makes it easy!

And then, once you’ve arrived at the Hua Lamphong station…
You’ll follow the signs to the exit.

This time, there will be a slot for you to put your token into…

And then you are DONE!
Hua Lamphong MRT station to 12Go Asia office
So once you’ve gone through the ticket gate, you’ll follow the signs for exit 1.

And then you’ll get to the top of the stairs…

…where you’ll get your first glimpse of the Hua Lamphong railway station!

Close-up of the train station
Keep walking straight when you get to the top of the stairs, so keep walking with the main road to your right.
And after a few steps you will see the 12Go Asia office located on the left side.

You’ll walk into the building, pick up your ticket, and you can board the train! (You’ll need to show your passport or picture of your passport to collect the ticket at the 12Go Asia office.)

If you have bought any other tickets, you might ask for those vouchers to be printed out while you’re here.
What are the 12Go Asia Bangkok office hours?

Now if you’re going direct from picking up your train ticket to getting on your train, how to get to the railway station?!
Although the railway station is across the street from the 12Go Asia office, it’ll be best to go back underground to get there.
Otherwise, it might be a bit challenging to cross the road.

This time, once you’re back underground, you’ll take exit 2 to get to the railway station.
This will be clearly marked as the Hua Lamphong railway station exit.

Then following the signs will bring you directly to the railway station.

You can locate the ticket counter area…

And then right above the ticket counter is a display screen with upcoming train departures.
This can tell you what platform to board your train.

And then you can either wait for your train in the waiting area…

…or get on the train!
